Connectivity
For businesses requiring data communications with company IT, cloud providers and business partners, the Tacoma data center offers high-throughput, low latency connectivity.
It connects to Colocation Northwest's 10 gigabit ethernet dark fiber ring which loops from Tacoma, around Lake Washington and back, connecting to our data centers in downtown Seattle, Bellevue and Redmond. This loop provides fast, redundant connectivity. Should the cable become severed, data flows unencumbered in the opposite direction.

West Coast Network
The Tacoma Data Center is part of Colocation Northwest's U.S. West Coast network. Businesses can link-up with Asian, Canadian, European and American network service providers, carriers and ISPs. It features connectivity to three carrier hotels and other points of presence in the San Francisco area, Los Angeles and Las Vegas regions.
Wireless Point-to-Point
Roof access is available for receiver and point-to-point antennas. The Perkins Building offers clear sight-lines to most of the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Wireless point-to-point can be a good option for delivering high-speed connectivity.
Power
Tacoma is an 800-kilowatt data center receiving an economical three-phase 208 volts from the municipal grid. All cabinets are protected from power loss by uninterrupted power supplies to keep equipment running until the onsite diesel generator takes over.
Cooling
This data center features mechanical water-side forced air cooling with hot and cold aisles. The three combined units are rated for 110 tons or 1,320,000 BTU per hour.
Staff and Security
The Tacoma Data Center functions as the always-staffed Network Operations Center for monitoring all Colocation Northwest and IsoFusion facilities, making it ideal for mission-critical services requiring immediate, onsite support. The facility features robust, third-party-audited physical security, including 24/7 video surveillance, electronically controlled locks, and a staffed security checkpoint for all entries.
Network Operations Center
Tacoma data center serves as the Network Operations Center for monitoring all Colocation Northwest and IsoFusion facilities, equipment and activities. It is staffed at all times without exception.
This site is ideal for mission critical managed services. If your equipment may require immediate attention that cannot be handled remotely or with traditionally scheduled managed services, Tacoma is the perfect place to house your equipment.

Entry into this facility is manually secured 24/7.
